3. Personal Information We Collect
We primarily collect personal information directly from you when you voluntarily provide it through a form or other communication.
When you use the “I’m interested in the book Invisible Illusionist” form, we may collect your first name, email address, country, preferred language, preferred book format, confirmation that you meet the stated age requirement, and records of the privacy and communication consents you provide.
We may also process technical information necessary for the secure operation of the website and its forms, such as an IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, security information and data associated with anti-spam or CAPTCHA mechanisms.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your name or first name, email address and, where available, preferences such as language, country or subjects that are relevant to the communications you requested.
4. Book Availability Notifications
When you ask us to notify you about Invisible Illusionist, we use the information you provide to contact you when the book becomes available and to send information directly related to your request.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent.
Your decision to provide these details is voluntary. Without an email address, however, we cannot send the requested notification.
Information used solely for the book notification will be retained for the period reasonably necessary to send the requested information and deal with related communication. If you also subscribe to the newsletter, your email address may continue to be processed for the newsletter until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
5. Newsletter and Email Communications
If you subscribe to the Invisible Illusionist newsletter, we may send you information about Invisible Illusionist, language learning, memory, accelerated learning, learning techniques, new articles, educational materials, books, products, services and related news.
For visitors who have not previously become our customers, newsletter and marketing communications are sent on the basis of your prior consent.
You may withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link contained in an email or by contacting us at kancelar@liborcinka.cz.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
We may keep limited information about a previous subscription or withdrawal where reasonably necessary to document your privacy preferences and demonstrate compliance with legal obligations.
Your existing Czech privacy policy similarly distinguishes customers from other newsletter recipients and states that communications to people who are not customers are based on consent.
6. Communication Preferences
If you voluntarily tell us your country, preferred language or whether you prefer a printed book or an e-book, we may use those preferences to make our communication more relevant to you.
For example, we may send information in your preferred language or notify you when the format you expressed interest in becomes available.
We do not use these preferences to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
InvisibleIllusionist.com uses cookies and related technologies required for the functioning, security and operation of the website.
The website displays a cookie consent bar that provides information about the use of cookies and links to this Privacy Policy.
Optional functionality may use additional cookies or similar technologies for preferences, embedded content, analytics or marketing. Where applicable law requires consent, such technologies will be used on the basis of that consent.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
As additional services are added to the website, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the corresponding processing.
8. Website Forms and Solo Build It!
InvisibleIllusionist.com is built and hosted using Solo Build It! / SiteSell Inc.
SiteSell may process personal information submitted through forms on the website on our behalf. SiteSell describes itself as a processor, rather than the controller, when information is collected from visitors through forms belonging to a SiteSell customer's website.
We remain responsible for determining why the information is collected and how it is used.
SiteSell is based in Canada and provides the website infrastructure, hosting and related tools used by this site.
9. Email Service Providers
We may use a specialized email distribution service to store subscriber information and deliver newsletters and other requested email communications.
Such service providers process personal information on our behalf and only for purposes associated with providing the relevant service.
The categories of data made available to an email provider may include your name, email address, subscription status, consent information and information required for delivery and unsubscribe management.
If the email service provider or its infrastructure involves processing outside the European Economic Area, we will use an applicable mechanism for international data transfers where required by GDPR.
10. Links to Amazon and Other External Websites
The book Invisible Illusionist may be offered through Amazon or another external bookseller.
When you follow an external link and purchase a book on Amazon, you are interacting directly with Amazon. The processing of information you provide to Amazon is governed by Amazon's own privacy terms and policies.
InvisibleIllusionist.com does not process your payment-card information for purchases completed entirely through Amazon.
The website may also contain links to other external websites. Once you follow such a link, the privacy practices of the destination website apply.
11. Embedded Videos and Third-Party Content
InvisibleIllusionist.com may include embedded educational videos or other content from third-party services such as YouTube or Vimeo.
Embedded services may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser information and may use cookies or similar technologies.
Where consent is legally required for such technologies, the relevant content or associated tracking should be activated in accordance with the applicable consent settings.
We will update this Privacy Policy as specific third-party services are implemented.
12. Sharing of Personal Information
We use personal information only for legitimate and stated purposes connected with this website and our communications with you.
Personal information may be made available to service providers that assist us with website hosting, form processing, email distribution, technical support or similar operations; to public authorities, courts or other bodies where disclosure is required by law; and to professional advisers where reasonably necessary to protect or exercise legal rights.
We do not sell visitor or subscriber personal information.
13. International Data Transfers
Some service providers used for website infrastructure, email delivery or third-party content may process information outside the Czech Republic or outside the European Economic Area.
Where GDPR requires safeguards for such transfers, we use providers and transfer mechanisms that support the applicable GDPR requirements, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards.
14. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, destruction, disclosure or other unlawful processing.
Access to personal information is limited to persons and service providers who need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
15. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to comply with applicable legal obligations, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Newsletter subscriber information is generally retained while the subscription remains active. When you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe, the address will be removed from active newsletter distribution, while limited records may be retained where required to document the withdrawal and respect your communication preferences.
16. Your Rights
Depending on the circumstances and the applicable provisions of GDPR, you have rights including access to your personal data; correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; erasure; restriction of processing; data portability; objection to certain processing; withdrawal of consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
These rights correspond to Articles 15–21 GDPR and the right to withdraw consent under Article 7.
To exercise your rights, contact:
kancelar@liborcinka.cz
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that the request concerns your personal data.
17. GDPR Review and GDPR Request
You can also use the privacy tools provided through this website:
GDPR Review — to review information associated with your personal data.
GDPR Request — to submit a request concerning access, correction, deletion or another applicable privacy right.
SBI specifically instructs site owners to add links to the GDPR Review and GDPR Request pages after activating its GDPR widget.
18. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe that your personal data has been processed in violation of applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
For the Czech Republic, the supervisory authority is:
Office for Personal Data Protection — Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů
Pplk. Sochora 27
170 00 Prague 7
Czech Republic
Email: posta@uoou.gov.cz
The Office confirms that a data subject may lodge a complaint under Article 77 GDPR.
19. Age of Users
The website and its mailing-list and book-interest forms are primarily intended for persons aged 16 or older.
Where a form requires age confirmation, users are asked to confirm that they are at least 16 years old before submitting personal information.
The Czech statutory threshold for a child's own consent in connection with information-society services is 15 years, so your chosen 16-year threshold is the more restrictive one.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, its services, the technologies we use or applicable legal requirements change.
The current version will always be published on InvisibleIllusionist.com together with its effective or last-updated date.
